Kenya international Ayub Timbe on Wednesday took part in Vissel Kobe’s first team training for the first time since his unveiling three days ago.

The 28-year old arrived in Japan two weeks ago but would not join his teammates immediately as he had to complete his quarantine period.

In a video posted by his club Vissel, Timbe is seen walking out of the team’s dressing room with a ball before heading to the pitch.

In the video, he  expresses his delight at finally being able to join the rest.

“It was good. I was excited to be on the training. It has been a while, it feels good to be with the team and meet the players, the coach and to participate as we prepare for the next coming days,” he said.

Timbe hopes to take part in Kobe’s next league fixture that takes place this Saturday, April 17, against Shonan Bellmare. Kobe are currently in third place of the J-League log on 18 points.
