He had done something similar in 2019, before joining Milan, when he bought a €2m Ferrari Monza SP2 for his 38th birthday. The striker also spoke to Milan Channel, looking back at his ‘ghetto’ roots, the injuries, coaches and players who changed his career. For his 39th birthday he bought a Porsche 911 Targa 41 Heritage. More to the extravagant gift, the Stradale is a car with 1000 horsepower and the price tag starts at €430,000 without additional costs for accessories and various customisations.
Football fans praise Zlatan’s high fitness at such an advanced age, especially as he is still playing football at the highest level with his team, AC Milan, in the Italian league and the Champions League. Despite his advanced age, Ibrahimovic is still immensely influential for Milan as he recorded a whopping 17 goals and three assists in 27 matches across all competitions last season.
"The Ibrahimovic of today is more complete, more calm, but every now and then I am like the old Ibrahimovic,” he smiled in a lengthy interview with Milan Channel.
“I am more experienced and therefore behave differently, as I have a different role, both on and off the field. I don’t need to rush through things like crazy anymore.”
His upbringing in a rough area influenced much of his attitude, and Zlatan insists the same is still true. "I think there’s a lot of the ghetto in me, if not all of it. I grew up in those areas and it was like paradise for me. You can take the boy out of the ghetto, but not the ghetto out of the boy.”
