Harambee Stars  centre back Joash Onyango has attracted interest from South African giants Orlando Pirates after a fine run with his current club Simba SC of Tanzania.

The centre-back has been a Key player at Wekundu wa Msimbazi defence line ever since joined the club at the beginning of the season from Kpl side Gor Mahia. The Simba SC official further narrated that the defender has proved his worth and cannot be let go cheaply.

The defender has been impressive for the Tanzania side as he has featured in all CAF Champions League matches and won the club player of the month in the month of March.

With his outstanding performance for the club over the past games he has featured in the club official in a past interview narrated that the Orlando Pirates have showcased interest in the defender but the Wekundu Wa Msimbazi are not willing to let him go cheaply as the defender would worth 1million dollars which is approximately 100 million kenyan shillings.

Though the price tag on the kenyan defender seems to be way too high, the Simba SC Communications officer Haji Manara claimed that the defender is worth that price as he is currently one of the best defenders in the continent.

The 28 year old defender was also named in the CAF Champions League of the week back in February in their tight second fixture of the tournament where Simba SC won 1-0 over Al Ahly of Egypt in Dar es Salaam.
