
Africa’s representatives at the Tokyo Olympic Games football tournaments have been revealed in a draw conducted in Zurich on Wednesday.
South Africa have been drawn against Japan, France and Mexico in Pool A of the men’s competition while Cote d’Ivoire are in Pool D with defending champions Brazil, Saudi Arabia and Germany. Egypt will also have an uphill task in Group C as they have been pooled against Spain, Australia and 2008 champions Argentina.
African sole women’s representatives in the competition, Zambia,have been pooled against China, Brazil and Netherlands in Group F.

Group A: Japan, South Africa, Mexico, France.
Group B: New Zealand, Korea Republic, Honduras, Romania.
Group C: Egypt, Spain, Argentina, Australia.
Group D: Brazil, Germany, Côte d'Ivoire, Saudi Arabia.
Women's Olympic Football Tournament
Group E: Japan, Canada, Great Britain, Chile.
Group F: China PR, Brazil, Zambia, Netherlands.
Group G: Sweden, USA, Australia, New Zealand.
