Italian giants Juventus FC risk being kicked out of the Serie A by the Italian FA next season if they do not withdraw from the European Super League.

Juventus remain the only Italian club  committed to the Super League after the withdrawal of this season's Serie A Champions  Inter Milan and city rivals AC Milan . Juventus are still in the proposed Super league breakaway alongside El Classico duo Barcelona and Real Madrid.

President of the Italian Football Association Gabriele Gravina said Juventus “cannot participate in Serie A” if they remain a part of the Super League at the start of next season.

The Spanish Giants together with Juventus are likely to face some form of punishment from UEFA as they have yet to distance themselves from the Super League breakaway project. The magnitude of the punishment is not yet revealed.

The threat of being banned from taking part in next season's Serie A edition means that Andrea Pirlo’s men season has gone from bad to worse, after losing out in the title race to Inter and currently starring at missing out on Champions League next season.

If the threat is upheld, it could see Juventus relegated to Serie B for the second time in 15 years following their involvement in a match-fixing scandal.

The Turin based side were stripped of the 2004/05 Serie A title and were demoted to the second-tier after being found guilty of selecting favourable referees for their matches.
