“We nominated the duo due to their dedication and passion towards the game of rugby. They are both Level 2 coaches but Agalo has also become a Coaching Educator," read a statement from the national rugby body.
Agalo stated that he will use the skills and knowledge acquired from the course to improve the game of rugby in the country.
“Looking at how the course evolved, I have learnt a lot by following the structures we built with the help of the trainers.
“The course has helped in my organization and planning techniques by exposing my strengths and my short falls in a systematic way.
"It is now clear and more precise on what to address in a team. Focus turns on the practical application through coaching. It is indeed a wonderful journey in the game of rugby," he concluded.
Weru, who was an integral part of the Kenyan national sevens squad between 2005 and 2011 divulged that the course has bettered his analytical and planning skills.
"Very intense, very informative and insightful. It's putting everything we do in an organized manner, analyzing and reworking. I’m looking forward to getting down with it. I’m excited,” disclosed Weru.
