"Kenya needs support for our efforts to arrest this doping menace. we don't need to ban Kenya. I've communicated the same to Lord Sebastian Coe in my letter.
"We are putting in more resources, more money for anti-doping training and investigations," Namwamba added.
He also emphasised that Kenyan athletes win their races clean and his ministry will protect the image of its athlete.
"Doping in Kenya is not state-sponsored. Unlike other nations, this is the work of a cartel ring that we are determined to dismantle. Kenya's image as a sporting nation is a premium brand. Everyone knows we compete and win cleanly. We can't allow this to be taken away from us," Namwamba stated.
