Uganda was also ranked fifth in the log since they secured similar points (20) to their East African counterparts, Ethiopia.

South Africa, which was ranked 10th, was the only other African nation in the top 10 list.

Emmanuel Korir, Stanley Waithaka Mburu, and Ferdinand Omurwa Omanyala are some of the runners who won Kenya a medal at the World Athletics Championship.

In the women’s category, Ethiopia was ranked higher than Kenya, which emerged fourth.

Jamaica narrowly beat the United States to the top position with 75 points. The latter and Ethiopia settled for second and third-place positions with 74 and 60 points respectively.

Kenyan women, who amassed 39 points the entire season, were ranked fourth alongside Great Britain.

Female athletes, with the exception of Faith Kipyegon Chepngetich, Mary Moraa, Beatrice Chebet, and Judith Korir registered below-par performances in 2022.
