Announced on Wednesday afternoon, January 25, the host nation the Netherlands will take on Qatar World Cup 2022 bronze medalists Croatia as Spain plays Italy.

The final will equally take place on June 18, with teams fighting for the 71cm-tall sterling silver trophy.

Some of the key points to note is that for both the semis and final if scores are level at the end of normal time then there is extra time.

If there is no winner still after the additional 30 minutes, it goes to a penalty shoot-out.

However, in the match for third place, there will be no extra time as teams will head straight to a penalty if the scores are level after the end of normal time.

In the previous tournament in 2021 hosted by Italy, World Cup runners-up France won the title.

PSG forward Kylian Mbape was the winner of the Alipay Top Scorer Trophy with 2 goals as Spain's Sergio Busquets was crowned Player of the Tournament.

Portugal was the 2019 edition champion having played host to the tournament.

Both Cristiano Ronaldo and Bernardo Silva were crowned as the Alipay Top Scorer and  Player of the Tournament.
