
After a stint that ended not so well in Zambia, Teddy Osok finally made a return to the country and signed a 2-Year deal with just crowned 2020/2021 Champions, Tusker FC. Teddy Osok joins the Champions from Zambian outfit Kitwe where he made 28 League appearances and scored 1 goal. The team however, got relegated from the Zambian Super League (ZSL) after they finished rock bottom in the table.
On his move to Tusker, Osok said, “I am glad to be joining a big and organized team such as Tusker FC. It is a great honour and a challenge that I am ready for. This is a bigger stage and the team is playing in the CAF Champions League which is a huge stage. I am ready to do my best and help the team improve.” Locally, Osok is no stranger to Kenyan Football as he started his career with MASA before joining Gor Mahia Youth. Later On, Osok went on to play for Sofapaka FC and Wazito FC.
Daniel Aduda, Tusker Chairman also had positive words for the talented midfielder; “As a team we are always focused on getting in quality players and Teddy is one of the quality midfielders we had in our sights. We are glad to have him in the team.” So far the club has absorbed other new players in the past week; Patrick Matasi, Charles Momanyi, Ibrahim Joshua and Kalos Protus Kirenge. Meanwhile, Tusker will pitch camp in Mombasa to prepare for the upcoming season where they are lined up to face Djibouti’s Arta Solar 7 on September 10 in the preliminary round of the Champions League.
“The week in Mombasa will be very vital for us because we have new players who need to gel and integrate with the team. It will also be an opportunity for us to work on what we need to do to be ready for the first match of the Champions League,” head coach Matano said.
