Harambee Stars Settle For A Goalless Draw Against Uganda

Harambee Stars

Harambee Stars were held to a goalless draw by the Uganda cranes in the World Cup Qualifiers at the Nyayo National Stadium. Both sides looked quite fit as intensity prevailed in the opening minutes with the Kenyan side having more possession. As the match proceeded, the stars seemed to be launching promising attacks from the back but as frustrating as it may sound, all were in vain as no clear cut chances were created heading to goal.

Midfielder Richard Odada finally made his long awaited debut and had a couple of highs in the game with impressive lob passes all in a bid to open up the frustrating cranes defensive pack. Olunga couldn't quite find his magic touch in front of goal despite making decent runs. Harambee Stars are currently 2nd in the Group E table with a point as well as Uganda who lie in 3rd place. Mali are topping the table with 3 points after a win over Rwanda who are bottom.

Harambee Stars next fixture will be in Kigali against Rwanda on 5th September while Uganda will take on Mali on 6th September.
