
Impact Montreal captain Victor Wanyama through the Victor Wanyama Foundation has awarded secondary school scholarships to 13 needy students.
Through his twitter page, the footballer congratulated the beneficiaries and revealed that the scholarships were awarded to needy students after careful vetting based on merit and need.
The beneficiaries include,Ashley Amajong, Kamoja Miguel, Nduku Nzilani, Caroline Mwhihaki, Sharon Kwatero, Okumu Omondi, Valerie Musonye, Muchoki Wangeci, Farrug Ali, David Odera, Vinjtor Atieno, Tonnyface Kiprono and Brighton Ondego.
The scholarship is meant to cover tuition fees, boarding and other related expenses for the four year period that they will be in school.
The former Harambee Stars skipper congratulated the 13 students and wished them success in their journey, stating that it was an opportunity for them to work hard without any distractions.
“I wish to congratulate the 13 successful applicants, and most definitely I will visit all of you in your new schools. This is a good opportunity for you to work hard without any distractions, and I would like to urge you to seize it and make it count. All the best as you begin this journey,” stated Wanyama.
