At a press conference held yesterday the police revealed the main cause of Golf star Tiger Woods fatal accident that left him with severe injuries.

Tiger Woods was involved in a car accident on 23rd February after his car rolled over in a steep terrain near Los Angeles. Woods suffered significant injuries on his lower right leg and ankle and was forced to be rushed to the hospital for an emergency surgery.

After immediate investigations the police dismissed the allegations that the golfer was drunk driving.

At the conference yesterday the police came up with their full findings on the cause of the accident and after finding no evidence of impairment as it was earlier alleged they revealed that Tiger Woods was driving relatively fast.

''The primary cause or factor for this traffic collision was driving at a speed unsafe for the road conditions and inability to negotiate the curve of the roadway,” Sheriff Alex Villanueva said.

The car in which Woods was driving was travelling at an estimated speed of 84 to 87 mph (135 to 140 kph) on a road stretch that is conditioned on a speed limit of 45mph (72kph) and there were no signs of drunk driving or visual impairment from him.

The 15 time major champion has been involved in a couple of car crashes before the recent one in February with the notorious one being where he ran over a fire hydrant and hit a tree one early morning back in 2009. The crash left the golfer injured and revelation of substance abuse that led to the crash. He therefore major corporate sponsorships and was taken into rehabilitation.

The car crash that the athlete was involved in earlier this year led to him sustaining potentially career ending injuries thus making his fans and the general public skeptical over his return after he fully recovers.
