
Ex Impala Saracens and Kenya 7s player Ian Minjire has been named in the Forbes 30 under 30 list making it in the finance category of the magazine for this year.
The Kenyan International was recognized by the US publication in this year's edition alongside his cofounder of the 'Melanin Kapital' Melanie Keita in whom they founded the organization together.
The Melanin Kapital is an initiative that aims at becoming a collaborative financial platform providing African social impact projects and entrepreneurs with access to education, advice, partnerships, mentors and connection to international investors.
Minjire who is currently based in Germany features for the rugby Bundesliga side SC 1880 Frankfurt where he sailed the club into their third title back in 2019.
After the pandemic hit the sporting world last year forcing sporting activities globally to halt it as well created an opportunity for Minjire and his counterpart Melanie Keita to tap more into their creative tanks and draw ideas that would establish their initiative.
The 30 under 30 list by the global giant media company is usually issued annually and comprises 30 of the most influential people across various categories such as entrepreneurship,manufacturing and industry ,leadership among other categories.
The achievement by the Kenyan International will steer motivation and inspiration to other young Kenyan athletes and entrepreneurs to keep working hard towards their goal.
