Spain, Germany Confirm Safari Sevens Participation

Spain and Germany are the latest teams to confirm their participation in the 2021 Safari Sevens which will take place at the Nyayo Stadium on 30th and 31st October.

Spain come into this edition with the aim of preparing well for next season’s HSBC World Series while Germany will be out to gain more experience in Sevens rugby after gracing the 2014 edition. 

A total of 12 teams have confirmed participation in the men's competition. They include South Africa All Stars, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Samurai, Red Wailers, Stallion Sevens Nigeria, KCB, Kenya U20, Spain, Germany,Kenya Shujaa and Kenya Morans. Four teams have meanwhile confirmed participation in the womens category.  Zimbabwe, South Africa Select, Kenya Lionesses I, Kenya Lionesses will be out for top honors in Nairobi.

The two-day tournament that was first played in 1996 returns after it’s cancellation in 2020 owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.
