After winning their last two games, the current FKF Premier League champions were stopped by the Sharks at Kasarani Stadium.
The Brewers bid to scoop three points was futile as they lost 3-0 to a well-drilled Kariobangi Sharks side in an FKF Premier League fixture at Kasarani Stadium on Sunday, November 7.
Tuskers found it hard to break down the resilient Sharks side, who scored through Felix Oluoch, Sydney Lokale, and Patrick Otieno in the 66, 77, and 80 minutes respectively with three points.
The Brewers started the game with high intensity where they almost took the lead with only five minutes played as a good game to set up Jackson Macharia, but his effort was well gathered by Sharks goalie Brandon Nathan.
As the game approached the 10th minute, Jimmy Mbugua got injured forcing Tusker to make an early substitution replacing him with Hillary Wandera.
The change did not affect Tusker as they kept on raiding the sharks.
In the 22nd minute, Wandera put in a cross to find Kibwana, but his final touch was poor, leading to a goal kick.
The first half came to an end as both teams failed to register a goal resulting in a 0-0 draw.
At the beginning of the second half, Tusker started well as Macharia set Kibwana with a left cross, but his touch was poor, and the Sharks goalkeeper took the ball.
Apollo Otieno wasted another goal chance for the league champions in the 63 minute as he hit the woodwork from a good delivery from Kibwana.
Three minutes later the Sharks took the lead, as Felix Olluoch put a goal past Bwire from cross by Sydney Lokale net his sixth of the season
Tusker coach Robert Matano took to his bench and went for a double change bringing in Deogratius Ojok and Stewart Omondi replacing Joshua and Macharia.
Despite the changes, minutes after the substitution introduction, Sharks Lokale put in a second goal with 13 minutes left until the final whistle.
Three minutes later, Otieno scored the third goal after a good long ball from goalkeeper Nathan, to beat Bwire with a low effort.
This is Tusker’s third loss of the season placing them 11th in the league standings with a game at hand as Kariobangi Sharks rise to second in the league.
