National football leagues; the FKF Premier League National Super League, Division One, Women’s Premier League and Women’s Division One Leagues will remain suspended for the next two weeks, the FKF Caretaker Committee has announced.
The FKF Caretaker Committee led by retired Chief Justice Aaron Ringera met with Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed on Friday morning where they were officially handed over the mandate as well as the report from the Sports Registrar’s office.
The announcement means that the FKF Premier League, National Super League, the FKF Division One, Women’s Premier League and Division One Leagues remain suspended until November 26.
The Aaron Ringera led Committee made the announcement after their first meeting on Friday morning where CS Amina Mohamed officially handed over the report from the Registrar’s Office audit and handed over the mandate.
“We wish to assure all lovers of Kenyan football that the committee will ensure smooth operations of all football activities across the country and beyond,” a statement from Ringera read.
There has however been no mention of Monday afternoon’s World Cup qualifier pitting Harambee Stars and Rwanda, scheduled for the Nyayo National Stadium.
