Barasa Grabs a Hat Trick as Nzoia Sugar Chock Kariobangi Sharks

Levis Barasa Okello marked his way to the FKF Premier League as he grabbed a hat trick for Nzoia Sugar FC as they saw off Kariobangi Sharks FC 3-1 at the Sudi Stadium in Bungoma County on Saturday December 11,2021.

The former Vihiga Bullets man broke the deadlock in the 8th minute before sharks equalized from the spot to make matters end in a 1-1 draw at halftime.

The second half started in an intense mood with both sides attacking relatively but Vincent Mahiga’s cross was all enough for the bullish striker to grab his second of the day in the 54th minute.

In the 87th minute matters continued to worsen for the Nairobi based side as the 23 year old talisman grabbed a hat trick tapping in a cross from Leonard Kasembeli.

The win was Nzoia’s first of the season and to move to 16th on the log.

 Okello, who joined the Millers from struggling Vihiga Bullets was on the spotlight when he posed with a 5kg sugar packet during his unveiling. Against City Stars on Wednesday December 8, he almost grabbed a goal in their 0-0 draw against City Stars.
