The Homologated Beach Volleyball Tour got off to a successful start as teams pounded their palms all day through the Mikasa ball in a bid to make advancements to the next levels. The tour/tournament which saw teams from different counties went down in Makueni, Wote, Unoa Grounds.
The first game was a tight match up in the men's category which saw Neeke/Mbappe edge out James/Kamadi 2 sets to 1.
In the Women's Category, Phoscah Kasisi and Yvonne Wavinya managed to proceed to the semi final after a comfortable 2-0 win against Jane/Akinyi from Homabay County in the quarter final.
The pair of Brian Melly and Naftali Chumba were victorious in the men's category while Gladys Wangui and Phosca Kasisi topped the women's edition during the inaugural tour held in Homa Bay County last month.
Meanwhile, the World Beach Pro Tour which was launched last month, will feature the best players in the world and bring beach lifestyles to the fans by combining beach volleyball with entertainment including music, food and beach life.
The tour travels across the globe, showcasing the best of beach volleyball at vibrant events in stunning locations and iconic cities.
The 2 day event comes to a close today and will see the winners receive gift hampers courtesy of Flametree Africa Limited.
