In the wake of the weekend, reports have been flowing on social media claiming that Police FC's technical director, Jacob 'Ghost' Mulee had since ceased his duties and left the club, barely a month after joining them.

Teamkenya.co.ke exclusively spoke to Police FC’s Assistant Team Manager, Mr. Charles Korea who had a different opinion. "These reports are false and what has been going round is mere rumours," said Korea.

Teamkenya.co.ke's efforts to reach the technical director himself, Mulee were futile as former Harambee Stars coach quickly hung up without uttering a word on the subject matter.

Mulee was appointed on 31st of October. He joined the Police after he left his national position, by way of resignation, in September. The Cecafa Club Championship winner with Tusker in 2008 left Harambee Stars after he led them to two World Cup qualifiers against Uganda and Rwanda.

Police FC managed to settle in 12th place with 8 points after holding off Wazito FC to a goal-a-piece draw in their home turf. The match which was played at Kasarani Stadium on December 11th saw Clinton Kinanga who came in handy to tee up Duke Abuya for the law enforcers' 40th-minute opener.

Elsewhere, Tusker will be facing off against Sofapaka later this evening. "We played good football and we performed like champions. We played as an organised team and I was really impressed with the performance," Matano explained more so in reference to the elimination the team faced in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Brewers were eliminated after conceding one goal away in Tunisia against CS Sfaxien. "This was one of the most superb matches I have seen since I joined Tusker. I saw maturity and composure, a well-organised team both in attack and defence, we had calm minds and played our hearts out."

"We should stick to that and now we have the rhythm. We should maintain that same spirit. We are going to defend our title and we will be back into the league with our heads held high and with a lot of confidence." Matano concluded.

Bandari FC will also be facing Gor Mahia who have collected 17 points from seven matches. K'Ogalo have won five games and collected two draws; they have further scored 10 goals and conceded two.

The Mombasa-based charges started their season with a 3-0 win over 2008 champions Mathare United. They followed it up with a hard-fought 3-2 win away to Bidco United. Their first loss occurred at Mbaraki Stadium when they fell 2-0 to Posta Rangers but they bounced back with a 2-1 win over 10-man AFC Leopards at the same venue.

Bandari's last win in the league was against FC Talanta when they emerged 3-0 victors. Their last two matches ended 1-1 and 0-0 versus Kakamega Homeboyz and the Bankers, respectively. As a result, the team is currently placed in the seventh position with 14 points. They have managed to score 12 goals and conceded six.
