City Stars, KCB Battle for Top Spot, Sharks Seek to End Losing Streak

As we head to match day 10 of the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL), TeamKenya gives you a pre-match analysis of the two fixtures that will take place on Friday, December 17. 

City Stars ,KCB Battle for top spot 

Nairobi City Stars will face off with KCB FC at the Ruaraka Grounds as both teams eye the chance to go top of the table. 

The two teams will face off in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) match on Friday, December 17, at the Ruaraka Grounds . 

The two teams are separated by a single point with KCB in second position while City Stars sit third. The two teams have 18 and 17 points respectively after nine games played in the league. 

Last season, KCB won both legs with a 1-0 win in the first leg followed by a 3-0 thumping in the second leg match. 

City Stars, under coach Nicholas Muyoti are the second-highest scoring team in the league, only Kariobangi Sharks have scored more. 

 
Sharks seek to end losing streak at The Docks as they Visit Bandari 

Kariobangi Sharks will be hoping for a win as they play Bandari at Mbaraki Grounds on Friday, December 17 in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) match.  

Bandari will be heading to the match on the back of consecutive draws while Sharks have lost their last two matches, against Kenya Police and Nzoia Sugar recently. 

Bandari have lost only one match at Mbaraki this season. 

The Dockers have had  only one of the five games that they have played at Mbaraki, winning three, and drawing one. 

The side led by Andre Casa Mbungo are sixth on the league standings just a point and place below Kariobangi Sharks who have 16 points who have played a game more than Bandari. 

In ten meetings in the league, no draw has been recorded between the two sides, with Bandari being the dominant side, winning six of the 10 encounters as Sharks won four.
