Manchester United will aim to make it back-to-back wins in the Premier League when they welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to Old Trafford on Monday evening.

According to reports United’s captain Harry Maguire has been ruled out of the Premier League clash with Wolves, leaving Ralf Rangnick short of centre-backs.

United take on Wolves as they hope to close the gap between them and fourth-placed Arsenal to just a single point with a win as Ralf seeks to extend his teams unbeaten run in all competitions to nine games since joining.

United are already short of defensive options with Victor Lindelof recovering from a recent coronavirus diagnosis and Eric Bailly limping off during their previous game against Burnley.

United's reported injury crisis will see Rangnick choose between several back-up options to partner Raphael Varane in central defence.

With the three centre-backs missing it leaves Phil Jones as the possible partner to Varane as he seeks to play his first Premier League game in two years.

However Manchester United will be with the services of Bruno Fernandes who is set to return to the squad after serving a one-match suspension following his fifth yellow card of the campaign.

Wolves will be returning to action after seeing two of their matches over the festive period postponed due to injuries and the coronavirus.

The side led by Bruno Lage will miss the services of Promising striker Fabio Silva due to coronavirus as full-back Jonny will miss out after suffering a knee injury.

Also on the sidelines is Hwang Hee-Chan suffering from a thigh injury and Pedro Neto who is out as a result of a knee injury.
