KCB Aims to Close Gap as They Face Struggling Mathare
Mathare United will be seeking to erase all the poor form they displayed towards the end of 2021 when they take on a high-flying KCB in their first Football Kenya Federation Premier League match of 2022 at the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani on January 4.

Since September 24, 2021, Mathare have not managed to record any victory as they have slumped to second last position on the log table following a run of six losses and one draw in their last seven games.
KCB will be looking to heap the pressure on current log leaders Kakamega Homeboyz, who are three points ahead of them in the table.
Kakamega Homeboyz Seek to Extend Unbeaten Run
Kakamega Homeboyz will be seeking to further stretch their advantage at the top of the FKF Premier League when they host FC Talanta at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega on January 4.
Homeboyz currently tops the league with 25 points after 11 league matches played as they lead the League remaining unbeaten after eleven rounds.
Talanta Fc has managed wins over league champions Tusker FC, and also managed to pick a point against KCB, and AFC Leopards.
Both teams are going into the match after drawing in their last games where Homeboyz was held to a 2-2 draw by AFC Leopards as Talanta shared the spoils with Kariobangi Sharks a 1-1 draw.
In Form Sofapaka Host Bandari
In-form Sofapaka will host Bandari FC on January 4, at their Wundayi backyard in Taita as they face off in the FKF Premier League.
Since the league resumed, Sofapaka have been in great form with them having played five matches, winning three, and registering two draws.
