Robert Lewandowski says he is 'open to everything' this summer, hinting at a possibility of leaving Bayern Munich. The Polish striker, who is currently in the last year of his contract with the German champions, is open to a new challenge if Bayern Munich doesn't consider extending his contract at Allianz Arena.

In December 2021, Lewandowski insisted he was concentrating solely on his game rather than negotiating for a new Bayern deal. For the third consecutive season, he is on course to return a ratio of more than one goal per game bagging 33 goals in 39 appearances.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the Polish point man said: 'It is important for me to be able to focus on my game, always on what can happen in the last match. Everything that remains to be done regarding contracts is a secondary issue and remains in the background.'

Lewandowski, 33, has been on the Real Madrid radar, and insider reports from Spain say that the record Bayan Munich goalscorer is ready to finish his career in Spain. What might be next for Lewandowski? Teamkenya.co.ke spoke exclusively to Denis Kazungu, a football analyst on the soccer star's future.

“I think Lewandowski will consider so many factors before making a decision, the fact that he is open to anything means he can still remain at Bayern Munich or seek a new challenge to explore other leagues” the pundit commented

“For me, I would advise him (Lewandowski) to remain at Allianz Arena if he wants to win the Ballon D’Or, he should not gamble because it's not a guarantee that he will perform in another league.” the pundit added

Robert Lewandowski won the striker of the year award at the 2021 Ballon d’Or ceremony before finishing second for the main men's prize behind Lionel Messi.

Lewandowksi was one of the favorites for the 2020 award before it was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
