
Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton visited the neighbourhood where reggae legend Bob Marley lived in Jamaica and played football with England forward Raheem Sterling, who was born on the island.
Both William and Kate are in Jamaica as part of their Caribbean tour, months after Barbados removed the Queen as head of state on November 30, 2021.
Dame Sandra Mason was elected as the first president of the Caribbean country.

Prince William, who is also president of the English Football Association (FA), also enjoyed a small football match with some young footballers alongside Manchester City forward Sterling and Aston Villa winger Leon Bailey
Sterling did not join England's national team ahead of their friendly match against Switzerland. He pointed out that he had been given special dispensation by England head coach Gareth Southgate.
The Man City forward is in Jamaica with an aim of helping improve social mobility for young people through his Raheem Sterling Foundation, which has partners in Jamaica, Manchester and London.
Its major goal is to give disadvantaged youths opportunities to break out of poverty.
Prince Williams who was dressed in his normal wear amazed the fans by setting up Sterling for a goal during the match.
The royal couple also greeted local residents after the game and met Jamaica’s bobsleigh team. The Bobsleigh is a team winter sport that involves making timed runs down narrow, twisted, banked, iced tracks in a gravity-powered sleigh.
