
Manchester City Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bryune has been voted as the Premier League Player of the Year, beating Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah and Tottenham’s Song Heung Min to the award.
De Bryune has scored 15 goals and provided 9 assists in 37 games, ahead of the season finale on Sunday.
Salah is currently the leading top scorer with 22 goals, 1 ahead of Song Heung Min.
The eight-man shortlist comprised full-backs Joao Cancelo and Trent Alexander-Arnold, West Hams’ Jarrod Bowen, Arsenal protege Bukayo Saka and Southampton captain James Ward-Prowse.
De Bryune won the Player of the Year Award in 2020, while Mohamad Salah claimed it in 2018.
City’s Ruben Dias won the award last season.
Meanwhile, City midfielder Phil Foden bagged the Premier League's Young Player of the Season award for a second consecutive season.
The English international has scored 9 goals and provided 5 assists aiding City to maintain the lead in pursuit of its third consecutive league.
Liverpool is second on the table, 1 point behind Manchester City with 90 points.
The two teams will seal their fate on Sunday with Man City facing Aston Villa at Etihad Stadium as Liverpool welcomes Wolves at Anfield.
