Manchester City forward, Gabriel Jesus, arrived at Arsenal's training ground, London Colney, for medical tests ahead of his Ksh6.4 billion transfer move to the Gunners.

Jesus was received by Arsenal technical director, Edu Gaspar, early Tuesday, June 28, and is reported to have completed his medical and introduced to the staff at Colney.

The Gunners are set to announce the transfer of their main target for the transfer window after the player completes his media duties with the club officials.

Jesus will join the Gunners on a five-year deal until 2027.

The Brazilian is set to take the number 9 jersey following the departure of Alexandre Lacazette to the French side, Lyon.

Transfer Guru, Fabrizio Romano, stated that the player was introduced to his teammates at the training group as the majority of the first team reported back for pre-season yesterday.

"Medical completed for Gabriel Jesus in London today as expected, he’s the new Arsenal player until June 2027. It’s all signed and completed between clubs too," he stated.

Arsenal managed to convince Jesus to join the club despite facing competition from their North London Rivals, Tottenham who will be playing in the champions league in the coming season.

Jesus's transfer has been credited to Mikel Arteta who coached him at Manchester City and his Brazilian connection to the Gunners' technical director.

Additionally, it is reported that the player preferred the Gunners because of the connection with Arsenal players such as Gabriel Magalhães and Gabriel Martinelli who they played with for the Brazilian Youth team.

With the transfer of the Manchester City forward, nearing completion, the Gunner is said to be focused on securing the signature of Ajax centre-back Lisandro Martinez, Leeds forward Raphina Dias and Youri Tielemans of Leicester City.

The Gunners submitted an improved bid of Ksh5 billion to Ajax for Martinez and are set to meet the Leeds during the week for Raphina's move.
