Johanna Omolo Returns to Belgium Side URSL 15 Yrs After Exit

33-year-old Harambee Stars midfielder, Johanna Omolo has returned to Belgium Club URSL Vise after 15 years. 

The Belgian side was Johanna's first European club having joined at the start of his career in 2007, at the age of 18.

Johanna will be joining the club that is currently placed eighth on the First Amateur Division table.

“I am happy to come back and I want to get started immediately. It has been a long time since I was here. I started my career here and to come back and play in front of the fans would be great.

"It is a special place because I came from Kenya and joined the club which was my first time in Europe so I have great memories from here. I was already adapted to the language, the people and the culture,” Johanna stated. 

The 33-year-old midfielder has been without a team since July 1, 2022, and noted that he has been training alone with some physical preparations. 

The experienced midfielder will be hoping to make his second debut on Saturday, October 8 as his team will be facing  Sporting Charleroi II. 

The Kenyan who enjoys dual citizenship has had quite a career having played for Coast Stars (Kenya), Beerschort(Belgium), Royal Antwerp  (Belgium), Fola Esch (Luxembourg) and Kocaelispor (Turkey) among others.
