
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has announced life-changing opportunities for young individuals from across the world, including Kenyans.
According to the IOC, they are looking for individuals between the ages of 20 and 28 who have the passion of solving problems in society using sports initiatives.
"We are looking to invest in and work with an exceptional group of young leaders who have the passion to solve local problems through grassroots sport-based initiatives and sustainable social business models.

"We aren’t looking for one type of profile but rather a diverse group of young leaders with different backgrounds, perspectives, skill sets, motivations and experiences," read part of the statement from IOC.
For one to be eligible for the opportunity, they have to be comfortable in managing new technologies and social media, possess strong communication skills, be a team player as well as have a grasp of the United Nations sustainable development goals.
Other qualifications include proficiency in the English language, willingness to learn, interest in activities that improve the lives of others in their communities and the passion to employ sports for economic and social transformation.
To apply for the programme, a person has to register first for a 4 weeks learning sprint which closes on October 20th.
After the learning sprint, they can then apply for the programme. The application process will open on December 1 and end on December 31.
The names of 25 successful candidates will be announced in January 2023 before they begin the programme in February.
Those who will be selected will enjoy numerous benefits including CHF 10,000 (approximately Ksh 1.2 million) token which will be given in batches in a period of four years, and an invitation to the IOC Youth Summit.
They will also receive monthly guidance and expert-led workshops guidance and invitations to speak at global gatherings.
