
Kenya registered a win in their first-ever appearance at the World Curling Championship after an 11-10 win over Nigeria.
The win which was also the first for the country on the World Curling stage was not easy as Nigeria missed their last-minute chance.
Kenya came out on top in the extra end against Nigeria in an all-African game, in the event which began on October 31 and will end on November 5.

Kenya has both male and female teams participating at the Pan Continental Curling Championships (PCC) 2022 B-Division.
This was the first Pan Continental Curling Championships, serving as the world championship qualification route for all World Curling Member Associations, apart from those in the European Zone.
The PCCC replaced the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships and the America Challenge.
The PCCC features 13 women’s teams, divided into an A-Division of nine teams and a B-Division of four teams, and 16 men’s teams, divided into an A-Division of eight teams and a B-division of eight teams.
Both Kenyan teams are Division B together with Guyana, Hong Kong, India, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Nigeria, Qatar and Saudi Arabia for the men's while the women's teams include Chinese Taipei, Mexico and Nigeria.
In the women’s event, the top five teams will qualify for the LGT World Women’s Curling Championship 2023, in Sweden.
In the men’s event, there are five qualification slots available for the BKT Tires & OK Tire World Men’s Curling Championship 2023 in Canada.
