Victor Mugubi Wanyama was on Sunday evening, November 6, 2022 present at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium to watch his former side play Liverpool.
Tottenham Hotspur posted a video of the ex-Harambee Stars skipper with the caption “Welcome back Victor Wanyama”.
In the short video, Wanyama teased Tottenham fans stating that he is glad to be back and wished Spurs victory over the Jurgen Klopp coached side.

“Hey guys, great to be back here. You know, the atmosphere is very good. I look forward to the win.
However, Victor’s return was not a happy one since a clinical Liverpool side narrowly defeated Tottenham 2-1, with Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah netting all the two goals.
Spurs' consolation goal came courtesy of Harry Kane in the 70th minute.
The video generated a lot of debate online with some of the fans suggesting that the former Celtic star is manifesting his return to the London-based side in the upcoming January transfer window.
Wanyama signed a three-year deal with Montreal in 2020 after being sidelined by the then Spurs manager Jose Mourinho and went on to help them achieve greater things.
Before his departure from Tottenham, Mugubi, who is the younger sibling to former Inter Milan ace McDonald Mariga was among the English Premier League top defending midfielders.
His partnership with Belgian international Mousa Dembele was one of the best in the English top flight league.
Wanyama announced a few weeks ago that he will be leaving Canadian-based club CF Montreal at the end of the season.
During his CF Montreal spell, the 31-year-old bagged 7 assists and 5 goals in 79 games.
