The World football governing body on Monday, November 28, lifted the ban slapped on Kenya earlier this year.
Kenya was banned by FIFA in February due to government interference in football affairs.
According to a statement signed by FIFA's secretary general Fatma Samoura, the ban was lifted three days before the official announcement was made.

“We would like to inform you that the situation of the FKF was submitted to the Bureau of the FIFA Council for consideration and decision on 25 November 2022.
“In view of these circumstances, the Bureau of the Council decided on 25 November 2022 to lift the suspension of the FKF with immediate effect,” read a statement from FIFA.
The press release further added that a delegation from FIFA and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) will visit Kenya in the near future.
"Upon the lifting of the suspension, a FIFA-CAF mission will be deployed to Nairobi in order to define the next steps for the FKF to also meet with the newly appointed Cabinet Secretary for Sports.
"Finally, the lifting of the suspension of the FKF takes place without prejudice to the ongoing investigations and court proceedings at national level" the statement ended.
Over the last nine months, the Kenyan football industry paid a heavy price as a result of being locked out by FIFA.
The national women's team, Harambee Starlets, which had a big chance of qualifying for the World Cup for the first time in the history of Kenyan football were denied a chance of taking part in the African Women's Cup of Nations (AWCON) tournament.
When the ban was imposed, Kenya only needed to beat their neighbors Uganda to qualify for the AWCON which served as the qualifiers for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup to be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
On the other hand, the national leagues were declared null and void, thus denying Tusker FC and Vihiga Queens a chance of representing the country in the continental tournaments.
Referees, including the veteran Peter Waweru were also missed a chance of officiating at the ongoing Qatar World Cup.
