
Edinah Jebitok and Margaret Chelimo are set to battle each other at the Cross Internacional Juan Muguerza in Spain on Sunday, January 8.
This will be the 11th World Athletics Cross Country Tour Gold meeting this season.
Jebitok heads into the race, having won last year's edition. She also finished second at the Kenyan Cross Country Championships.

Her fellow compatriot Margret Chelimo is a world 10,000m bronze medallist.
Chelimo has had a good start in the new year, finishing third at the 5km race in Bolzano, Italy, on December 31, 2022.
She recorded her lifetime best on July 16, 2022, at the 10,000m race finishing third with a time of 30:10.07 in Eugene.
Also present at the race will be 2021 Diamond League 5000m champion Francine Niyonsaba from Burundi.
The Burundian finished in a runner-up position at the San Silvestre Vallecana on Saturday 31 with a time of 30:58.
Other top athletes in the race will include Ethiopias Mahelet Mulugeta, Rahel Daniel (Eritrea) amd Winfred Yavi (Bahrain).
According to the World Athletics, the race day weather will be rainy and windy with temperatures ranging between 14-16 Celcius.
