
Nairobi County Football Association has threatened to take legal action against Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba.
The group accuses the CS of gross violation of the provisions of the Constitution of Kenya and defiling court rulings.
In a letter to the Sports CS, the Nairobi CFA disclosed that they would sue Namwamba, before writing to the senate to have him appear before the relevant committee for grilling.

The officials further threatened to push for the ouster of the Sports CS should he not heed their call.
Namwamba gave the CS two ultimatums; either to reinstate the FKF's National Executive Committee via writing or honor the High Court ruling no E473 of 2021 and Sports Disputes Tribunal 36,38 and 39.
The High Court in its ruling upheld the removal of Football Kenya Federation (FKF) officials.
"On Thursday, October 27, 2022, you were sworn in to defend the constitution of Kenya. In football matters, you have completely violated it by not adhering to it in many circumstances.
“We hereby demand you to act upon the following heating matters in the football circle with emergency,” part of the letter read.
Nairobi CFA also called for the removal of FKF CEO Barry Otieno alleging that he was not authorized to transact any business on behalf of the federation.
Namwamba, who previously served in the same docket under the late President Mwai Kibaki was also asked to fully implement the Sports Act
The issue of match-fixing which has hit he FKF Premier League was also brought to his attention, with pressure mounting on the CS to crack the whip.
"Deal with the issue of match-fixing in Kenyan football with urgency, using the Director of Public Prosecution office and that of Ethics and Anti-corruption commission for justice to prevail," the letter read in part.
