
Hellen Obiri will do a double is to at the Olympic Games after winning the Women 10000m final on Saturdaymorning.
Obiri won the 10,000m in 30:53.60 to book a double.
“The race was good. I just wanted to seal top two. I have no pressure. I will be facing familiar opponents in Tokyo. I am used to fast-paced races and all I am going to do is continue with my training,” said Obiri.
In the 400m women final, 400m national record holder Hellen Syombua continued her fine form, winning the trials at the Moi International Sports Centre on Saturday.
Syombua clocked season's best 52.45 seconds beating Kenya Police counterpart Veronica Mutua to second place in 53.10 as Maureen Thomas came in third in 53.35.
Syombua is the only female sprinter to have qualified for the Tokyo Olympic Games.
