Tusker have gone to the summit of the Betking Premier League chart after beating a stubborn Western Stima in the early kickoff played at the Ruaraka grounds on Wednesday afternoon.

The 11-time Kenya champions got the breakthrough in the 53rd minute of the game when winger Bonface Muchiri caught a wrong footed Richard Aimo flatfooted with an expertly taken freekick before Henry Meja slotted doubled from the spot ten minutes later after Muchiri was fouled in the box.

Baron Oketch pulled one back for the visitors from the spot but it was not enough for the visitors who's dream of staying afloat is facing real danger.

The Brewers have now leapfrogged KCB to to the summit with 44 points two ahead of Zedekiah Otieno’s side who have a game in hand.
