Kenya's Economy to Gain Ksh 6 Billion from Safari Rally

It's Thursday, June 24 and gears are underway at the long awaited Safari Rally event that has just been flagged off  by President Uhuru Kenyatta at KICC. Speaking of ceremonial, the event is expected to truly end ceremoniously since more than 825 million viewers will be attracted with Sh6 Billion in foreign currency being pumped into the country's economy. 

Majorly this will be experienced through online traffic that is in turn propelled by online gaming participants in World Rally Championship (WRC) games on Pc and also consoles like the Playstation™. Global Television viewership is also expected to ganner in more viewers especially through online streaming platforms. 

Cabinet Secretary for Sports Amina Mohamed also emphasized that the event is expected to attract more than 1.5 billion online impressions. This is basically the number of digital views or engagements of any piece of content.

More to that is that top global car manufacturers, rally teams and drivers have all made a mark in the country putting it on the global stage when it comes to investor-interests. Some of the brands of cars that are currently enroute to Naivasha include; Toyota, Ford, Skoda, Hyundai, Volkswagen, Mitsubishi and the legendary Subaru. 

Hotels in Naivasha will also experience a huge spike in good business as per the wishes of organizers. Stakeholders at hand say at least 10,000 fans globally are expected and are currently flocking the beautiful destination. The event definitely comes as a major boost to Kenya's tourism sector especially after the ravaging effects of Covid-19.
