World marathon record holder Eliud Kipchoge will attempt to break a new world record in the latest trailer for upcoming sports documentary, Kipchoge:The Last Milestone. 

In the trailer released on Thursday June 24, 2021, Kipchoge trains hard to run under 26.2 miles (42.159km)in Vienna, Austria .

The Olympic champion wants to inspire hope and break the last milestones in sporting history.

"In the journey of life there is ups and downs. In marathon there is a lot of challenges, ups and downs. There is pain in training, pain in running and joy at the end of the marathon," Kipchoge says in the trailer.

The documentary will be released on August 24 and has been directed by Jake Scott and produced by Ridley Scott, Kai-Lu Hsiung and Kevin Macdonald.

On October 12, 2019, the Olympic gold medalist and World -record holder put his beliefs to test in Vienna when he attempted to be the first human to run a full marathon under two hours and he lived up to his dream, finishing the 42.159km race in a time of 1:59:40. 

The 36-year-old still holds the world record over the distance at 2:01:39.

He is currently preparing for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games that start next month.
