Danilo Rosafio gives TeamKenya a win in the 100M Freestyle Swimming

Danilo Rosafio

One of Kenya's sizzling swimmers, Danilo Rosafio has finally made his mark at the Olympics by topping Heat 2 of the 100 Metre Freestyle Swimming event. The United Kingdom based swimmer managed to clock a time of 52.54 seconds. Rosafio truly amazed as he improved from his recent competition, the 2019 World swimming championships in Gwangju, South Korea where he managed a time of 52.66.

The 20 year old admitted that he was going to brush off some past setbacks and bag a medal through his performances. Rosafio reiterated he wasn't quacking in the boots at the prospects of battling out with the world's finest swimmers, adding competitors who manage to muster up the most courage might as well be the ones to carry the day.

“Well, of course I have my competitors and they are also training quite hard, but at the end of the day, the one with the biggest heart is the one that you know, goes through and makes it. So yeah, it was tough, there were doubts but I’m glad I’m here.”Said the Kenyan Swimmer. His Teammate, Emily Muteti will also be put on the tests on July 30th in the 50 Metre Freestyle Swimming race.
