As the 2021/2022 Kenya Cup season comes to an end on Saturday, February 26, much focus is at the bottom of the league table standing as teams battle out for survival.

In previous seasons, the battle for playoffs took the headlines but with a shift in focus in this season.

Resolution Impala Nondescripts and Topfry Nakuru all who are former champions are at a tightspot as they seek for survival.

At the bottom are 10 times winners Impala where they shall face off with Masinde Muliro at the Impala Club on Saturday, February 26.

A win from Impala will mean that they have to wait for the results from fixtures between Homeboyz against Nondescripts as well as the Nakuru derby between Topfry Nakuru and Menengai Oilers.

If they do register a loss, Impala will be relegated to the Championship.

If Homeboyz win they would  garner 19 points or 20 if they register a bonus point with the same set to happen for Nondescripts if they register a win over Homeboyz.

On the contrary, a loss by either Homeboyz or Nondies will see either side with 15 points with a potential of 16 if they get a losing bonus.

As for the two time Cup winners Topfry Nakuru a winover town rivals Menengai Oilers at the Nakuru Athletic Club will raise their tally to 20 or 21 points if they get a bonus point.

Nakuru are currently on 16 points and if they suffer loss without a bonus point they would remain on 16 points, but should they lose by less than seven points and score four tries in the process, they could end the campaign on 18 points.
