Kenya Ranked Eighth Ahead of Singapore 2022 World 7s Series

The 2022 World 7s Series continues with teams heading to Singapore for the scheduled April 9 and 10 rugby event. 

According to the latest report from World Rugby Sevens Kenya is ranked Eighth as South Africa leads at the top. 

Shujaa finds themselves eighth after garnering a total of 31 points in four outings with them picking only eight points from their last event in Seville, Spain.

Kenya was placed in a tough group with the likes of South Africa, the USA and Canada.  

South Africa tops the list with 88 points as Argentina and Australia take second and third positions with 70 and 66 points respectively. 

South Africa is on a 34-match winning run in the Series and will be seeking to continue their fine run in the 2022 World 7s Series. 

The Springboks who are in the same group as Kenya are enjoying a 34 match winning streak having bagged the title in Seville in January 2022. 

USA who are also in the same group as Shujaa have 55 points at number four while Canada is in position 12 with 23 points. 

Both Fiji and New Zealand who met at the Tokyo Olympic finals are expected to make their long-awaited return to the World Series in Singapore. 

Other Countries in the top ten include France (fifth), Ireland (sixth), England (seventh), Spain (ninth) and Fiji (tenth).
