
Kenya Lioness, the national women's rugby team is set to compete at the 2022 Rugby African Women's Cup in Kampala, Uganda.
The teams' fifteens captain Peruz Muyuka speaking at the RFUEA Grounds, their training ground noted that the Lionesses are ready for the competition.
Kenya is in Pool B together with the host country Uganda and Zambia.

“We have never played Zambia before…it’s not going to be an easy match as we don’t know what to expect.”
“Uganda is our rival. Either one of us is going to prove themselves. We are ready mentally and physically and hoping for the best,” Muyuka added.
Muyuka noted that the team has gelled well since their fifteens international match and they were ready to show what they have been training for.
The Lionesses will begin their campaign on October 29 when they face Zambia before playing rivals Uganda on November 2.
The final training squad is yet to be announced, however it's expected that by next week the team news will be out.
This year's tournament is the second edition with South Africa winning the inaugural event in Brakpan, South Africa.
