
FIFA catered for disabled fans who are part of the football fans at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The world football organisation has ensured that the tournament is accessible to disabled people to provide inclusive and accessible infrastructure and services for all fans.
During the tournament's last group phase, disabled fans have been included in the matches to the extent of taking part in the line-up.

FIFA introduced the new initiative at Qatar 2022 whereby each of the 64 matches, disabled fans will be offered an exclusive experience during the pre-match ceremony.
In every match, two wheelchair users with an Accessibility Ticket are randomly selected to participate and get invited to the player tunnel and the pitch side.
During the final Group E fixture between Japan and Spain on December 1, José Ramos Castillo from Barcelona and Mochida Haruki from Tokyo were the beneficiaries of the initiative.
FIFA has made sure there is easily accessible infrastructure including, routes; seating options and locations; parking areas; dedicated priority lanes at entrances and food & beverage counters; priority lift access and relevant signage.
The tournament organisers have also established a dedicated allocation of tickets for purchase by local and international disabled people.
Al Bayt, Lusail and Education City stadiums have sensory rooms to cater to disabled people.
Before every match, a promotional campaign is carried out to raise awareness about the availability of accessibility tickets to fans.
