Facts to Consider as Brazil Take on Croatia in World Cup Quarter Finals

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 returns after a two-day break, with eight teams set to battle for a semifinal spot. 

Brazil, Argentina, France, Croatia, Morocco, Netherlands, England and Portugal are the last eight teams in this year's tournament. 

Brazil will take on the 2018 runners-up on Friday, December 9, in the first quarter-final match at Education City Stadium.

This will be the third time the two nations will face each other at the World Cup, with Brazil winning the past two meetings. 

However, in all competitions, the two have met five times, with the Seleção unbeaten, with three wins and two draws. 

The Samba Boys will be playing their eighth semifinal, and Croatia it's third. 

Brazil's number 10, Neymar, has found the back of the net thrice in two appearances against Croatia. 

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 has seen Brazil make history, having used all 26 players at the tournament for the first time at a World Cup. 

In Croatia's history, this will be the second time in the country’s history that they will face a non-European opponent in a World Cup knockout match.
