Kakamega governor Fernandes Barasa has constructed a house for the late Harambee Stars fan Isaac Juma.

According to the second governor of Kakamega County, the house was constructed under the Barasa Foundation.

Juma, who was popular for his dance moves during Harambee Stars matches was allegedly killed as a result of land disputes in his home in Mumias, Kakamega County.

He was also an ardent supporter of AFC Leopards and rarely missed their matches.

“The passion and affection the late Isaac Juma had for sports stretched all the way to the family that he left behind.

“Today I paid a visit to his family in Ebung’ale Village, East Wanga, Mumias East Sub-county to officially handover a house that was constructed under the auspices of the “Barasa Foundation,” and pass my Christmas gift to them,” Barasa stated.

Initially, his wife Farida Juma had intimated to the press that Isaac claimed his life was in danger. She pointed out that no action was taken despite her husband filing reports at the police station.

According to her, the last time she saw Isaac was when he went out at night to relieve himself.

“It was at night when my husband went out for a call of nature, little did I know it was the last time I would see him alive.

“All I heard were screams from him after being hacked by people who were hiding outside, armed with crude weapons. From the way he had been cut, we could not help him,” she was quoted by Goal

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) reported that they had apprehended the main suspect behind the murder.

“Detectives have arrested the main suspect behind the gruesome murder of renowned football fan Isaac Juma Onyango, 58, who was hacked to death last night minutes past 9 pm,” part of the statement from the DCI read then.
