
Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba on Thursday, December 15, held talks with over 10 ambassadors and representatives from different nations in a bid to revive youth empowerment in the country.
Namwmamba held talks with representatives from Slovakia, Belgium, Greece, France, Italy, Spain, Czech Republic, Romania, Portugal, Poland and India.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Sports, the bilateral talks centred on youth empowerment, sports and art revival.

The Sports CS, with his two Principal Secretaries Jonathan Mueke and Ismail Maalim, sought the support of the diplomats, as he targeted more partners in his sports revival bid.
Namwamba urged the diplomats to support the establishment of state-of-the-art sporting facilities across the country.
He added that with the support from the different nations Kenya would be able to achieve the 2030 vision of featuring at the World Cup.
“The CS has rolled out a robust plan targeting the revival of the sporting space in Kenya as well as commercialize the creatives space with a view to turning it into a mega industry that contributes significantly to Kenya's Economy,” a statement from the ministry read.
Namwamba also touched on the creative space calling on the diplomats to partner with Kenya as the country boasts a unique culture.
Recently, on Wednesday, December 14, Namwamba engaged with sports stakeholders to revive the country's sports industry.
In the meeting which was held at Serena Hotel, Nairobi, the CS re-stated his vision of taking Harambee Stars and Starlets to the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in 2027 and 2026 respectively.
