
A middle-aged man was on Tuesday morning, January 17, arraigned in a Malindi court for allegedly abusing two minors sexually.
The suspect was apprehended after the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers came across disturbing content online which showed the man abusing the boys.
Operatives from the DCI Child Protection Unit used specialized software to flag the disturbing content.

The suspect was arrested on Wednesday, January 11, and with four minors in his custody at the time of the arrest.
According to a statement from the DCI, the suspect used his football foundation to trap the kids.
“A 28-year-old pedophile who has been abusing young boys sexually has this morning been arraigned in court by detectives based at the DCI Child Protection Unit,” read part of the statement from the DCI.
DCI added that the suspect repeatedly defiled the teenagers, aged between 10 and 12 at his house.
The accused was charged with four accounts of child pornography and trafficking as well as two accounts of defilement.
Medical reports confirmed that indeed the minors were sexually abused by the suspected pedophile.
However, he pleaded not guilty to all charges before Chief Magistrate Hon Elizabeth Osui.
Osui, issued orders for the suspect to remain in police custody until Tuesday, February 7 when the case will be mentioned.
