On Saturday evening, January 7, 2023, Trans Nzoia Falcons players were chased away from their apartments by club officials after losing a Kenya Women’s Premier League match.

In a video that went viral online, a club official is seen throwing the players' bedding from a house as they watched in shock.

It is alleged that the officials were angered by the players after they were hammered 3-0 by record KWPL champions Vihiga Queens in Kitale.

There are also claims that the players from the community club did not take breakfast before their encounter with the defending champions.

Furthermore, it is reported that they were forced to walk to honor the league match.

The decision from the officials to throw away the players from the apartment annoyed Kenyans, with some of them taking to social media to voice their concerns.

Charles Harrison, one of the concerned fans, stated that the action would hinder football development in the country.

“Any parent, who sees this will never allow their kids to pursue sports,” his statement read.

Marvin Alusa on the other hand described the move by the officials as inhumane.

“This is just sad. The cartel wants victory by all means,” he ended.

Moreover, they have asked George Natembeya, the Governor of the county, to urgently intervene.
