
Shujaa winger Willy Ambaka has disclosed the reason behind his decision to hang his boots after 13 years.
Speaking during an interview with World Rugby after the 31-5 loss to South Africa on Friday, January 27, Ambaka noted that his body informed his decision.
Ambaka announced his retirement on Thursday, January 26, through a letter posted on his social media platforms at the age of 32.

“It's been a long journey for me, I feel that the body is already burning up but at the same time it has been a memorable 13 years and I'm happy with everything,” Ambaka revealed.
The 32-year-old rugby player noted that the current squad has some good players.
“We have a good bunch of boys that are here but all in all I just want to thank God and appreciate what World Rugby has done,” Ambaka added.
On what has been his highlight as a rugby player Ambaka recalled the time he received his maiden call-up to the national team.
“There are so many highlights but for me, from High School till now my first highlight was being called up to the National Team and of course the big one which is the 2016 win in Singapore versus Fiji," Ambaka added.
In his statement, the rugby player noted that in his 13 years of rugby career, he has achieved many of his dreams.
Ambaka has experienced some success with the Shujaa having won the final in Singapore in 2016.
He has also featured for Shujaa in two Olympic Games, two Commonwealth Games, and three Rugby 7s World Cups.
