AFC Leopards head coach Patrick Aussems has revealed the reason behind his side’s impressive form in the Kenya Premier League.
The club struggled at the start of the season, particularly due to the lack of new signings.
Ingwe and multiple champions Gor Mahia were banned by the world football governing body, FIFA, for failing to pay their former players’ accrued salaries.

Aussems also recently came under fire for allegedly insulting a journalist and was forced to depend on inexperienced players.
In a recent interview, the Belgian international argued that Ingwe has massively improved after working on their aggressiveness side of play.
Aussems divulged that he had a team talk with his charges four weeks ago, and he is happy with the transformation.
“We had a big conversation with players and the technical bench regarding the fighting spirit. I have a team with a playing style. We want to play football, but playing football without aggressiveness is useless.
“We need to have a fighting spirit. And I think now they have that in their minds. So, playing football is like that.
“We play attractive football but we also need this aggressiveness. We didn’t have that before, but right now there is a big improvement in the team,” he commented.
The former Simba Sporting Club tactician added that he would like his charges to play like English Premier League champions Manchester City in the future.
“It is like Manchester City, for example, they are playing beautiful football. But you also have some warriors there, guys like Rodrigo, and Laporte, they are fighters. I would like that for my team as well,” ended Aussems.
Ingwe currently occupies the fifth position in the 2022/2023 Kenya Premier League log with 15 points, 16 less than leader Nzoia Sugar.
